She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley N. Shepherd and Margaret M. Drennen of Milton, DE.. She is survived by: her husband John W. Dorris of Englewood, FL; her daughter Michele Diane Webb; her grandchildren, Zackery H. Webb (Cy), Jessica Webb (Austin) and Brittany Hines (Wally); and her great grandchildren, Skylar, Raelynn, Austin, Jackson and Maddie.
In lieu of flowers, Joyce requested that donations be made to organizations that individuals believe make a meaningful impact in their communities; reflecting how she supported others throughout her life.
