He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Vargo Sr. and Margaret Kasich; his brother Alexander Vargo; and his former wife Sally Vargo Leonard. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Vargo; his brother George Vargo; his daughters, Deborah Vargo, Christine Weymouth and Michele Matera; his grandchildren, Mark Matera, Nicolas Matera, Jonathan Weymouth and Samantha White; and his great grandchildren, Hailey, Grace White, Hannah and Julia Weymouth.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Tidewell Hospice in Michael's memory.
