He was predeceased by: his parents, Leopold Martel and Alice Martel (Ricard); his siblings, Vivian Lamontagne, Estelle Costigan, Maurice Martel and Beatrice Martel Daneault; and his former wife Anita Martel (Boulet).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Robinson of Nova Scotia, Canada.; his son Gary Martel of Plainville, MA; his granddaughters, Amy Ready (Joe) and Michele James (James); his great grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Andrew, Mary and Layla; his son James L. Martel; and his grandson James N. Martel.
