He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: George Dignam and Georgie Dignam; wife: Laverne "Annette" Pope; son: David Dignam (Laurie); daughter: Leslie Dignam; adopted son: Eric Fogo (Bobbi); grandchildren: Ashley Dignam, Brandon Dignam (Amanda), Taylor Baggott (Nick) and Austin Fogo (Mikaylah); great-grandchildren: Ames Hall, Axton Hall, Garrett Dignam, Berkley Dignam, Lawson Dignam, Tatum Dignam, Lacie Baggott and Jeb Baggott; other: L. A. Ainger and Esther Horton.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Englewood United Methodist Church (700 E Dearborn St, Englewood, FL 34223). Because Annette's passing came during the COVID-19 pandemic, the family never had the opportunity to gather and celebrate her life in the way they had hoped.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Kids' Needs of Greater Englewood, an organization that reflects so much of what Tom and Annette believed in — neighbors helping neighbors, caring for local children, and strengthening the community they called home.
