She was predeceased by : her parents, Arie Weelden and Jennie Van Weelden (Swank); her husband Dale Wallace; her son Bret Van Rees; her stepdaughter Regina Wallace; her stepgrandson Dale Jospeh Morgan; her brothers, Donald and Bob Van Welden; and her grandmother Dora Swank Hudson.

She is survived by : her former life partner Larry Van Rees; her children, Shawn Retman (Calvin) of Newton and Kirk Van Rees of Lake City, Florida; her grandchildren, Jodi Brown, Justin Good (Erin), Jordan Van Rees, Josh Van Rees (Mackenzie), Whitney Tremmel (Jacoby) and Tarrah Broderick (James); her stepsons, Donovan Wallace (Pat) of Turlock and Kent Wallace of Hollywood, Florida; her stepgrandchildren, Mitchell Wallace (Katlynn), Lauren Reid (Jonny), Michael Reavis (Rachel) and Heidi Kirkpatrick (Randy); her sister Diana Agan of Newton; and her niece Kim Hoskins. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
