He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominic Verni and Vincenza Verni; and his children, Stephen Verni and Susan Sinclair. He is survived by: his wife Janet M. Verni of Estero, Florida; his daughter Vicki A. Sciarrino (Anthony); his grandchildren, Stephanie Schaefer, Nicolette Craig, Samantha Lehutsky and Anthony Sciarrino; and his sister Antoinette DeCeglie of Ridge. He is also survived by his seven great-grandchildren.
