He is survived by: his son Chris Horst; his sibling's children, Dennis Horst (Karen Robinson), Debbie Allen Horst (Earl), Jackie Butzer, John Butzer, Tom Butzer and Jody Butzer; and his great-nieces, Alicia Wethington (Chris) and Katie Huff (Gary).
