He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Reed and Artha Reed; and his brothers, Joseph and Sherman Reed. He is survived by: his sister Etta Diane Rode (Mark); his grandson Aric Johnson (Shannon); and his great grandchildren, Halle, Mason and Leila Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to go to First Baptist Church of Umatilla.
