He was predeceased by: his parents, Adele Way and John Way. He is survived by: his wife Anita Way; his daughter Stephanie Way (John Joseph Rojo); his granddaughters, Rachel Hager, Liana Cubernot and Robyn Lovell; and his great grandchildren, Ava Cubernot, Elsie Cubernot and Sophie Cubernot.
