He is survived by: his mother Thelma Vaughn Benn; his wife Dr. Helen Singh Benn; his children, Anthony Benn, Jalen Benn, Willie McKinnon, Lakisha Benn-Gibson, Latoya Benn-Johnson, Keisha Blake, Robin Smith, Craig Benn-Giddens and Celestine Johnson; and his siblings, Jack "Man" Benn Brown, Lawrence (Mary), Dwayne (Kimberly) and Mary Benn Nasir. He is also survived by His family grew to include: 17 Grandchildren, 4 Great-grandchildren, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
