We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2025, Anna Mae Gomillion Sauls (Fernandina Beach, Florida) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaiah Gomillion and Adelia Gomillion; her husband Elbert Sauls (Ebb); her children, Nolen Sauls (Judy Sauls), Maria Barton and Ernestine Sauls; her granddaughter Natalie Tyner; and her siblings, James Gomillion, Cecil Gomillion, Joel Gomillion, Wayne Gomillon, Dora Mae Hobbs, Myrtice Kirkland and Rhojean Smith (Jean).

She is survived by: her sons, Rolen Sauls (Kellene) and Frank Sauls (Anne); her son-in-law Bobby Ray Barton; and her sister Mary Lou HIckox (Lucy). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Legacy Baptist Church building fund.

“I was so sad to see on Facebook that Aunt Mae had passed. She and I talked a few weeks ago, and I promised her that Greg and I would be at her 100th birthday bash in September. She was so optimistic that I went ahead and booked our flights. Aunt Mae was one of a kind. She was spiritual, adventurous, loving, wise, and so much more. I loved her as a child and even more as an adult. She will be missed by many, but the world is a better place because she was in it. Kay Gomillion Elam”
