She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfon Zachow and Freda Mackay Zachow; and her husband Clifford G. Lewis. She is survived by: her children, Shelane Cox (Jay) and Joseph Taskonis; her sisters, Sandy Filiput, Darlene Pontzolff (Jim) and Carol Jones; and her grandchildren, Katherine Harper, Jayson Cox and Ashley Smith. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made in her name to the Nassau Humane Society, 639 Airport Road, Fernandina Beach, Florida, 32034.
