She was predeceased by: her parents, Rupert Ferris Jones and Nellie Gertrude Cook Jones; her husband James Alex Brazell; her children, Judith Darlene McCoy and Donald Lindsey Brazell; and her grandsons, James Lewis Brazell, Kevin Alan McCoy and Sean Patrick McCoy.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Laraine Burns (Steve), Deborah Gail Mayberry (Phil), Donna Maria Brazell (Jean), Meredith Li Anton, James Eugene Brazell, Thomas Leonard Brazell and Kenneth Wayne Brazell; and her grandchildren, Thomas Alex Brazell, Joann Patricia Mahle, Bradley Alan Mayberry, Laura Leigh Mayberry, Morgan Lindsay Williams and Ryan Kelly Brazell. She is also survived by many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chester Cemetery. A reception was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 12:30 PM at the First Baptist Church of Fernandina Beach (1600 S 8th St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034).
