He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Barton and Bertha Barton (Bowman); his wife Diane Barton (Coolidge); his daughters, Shannon Barton Brown and Shivon Lee Kadrmas (LeRoy); his grandchildren, Jeremy Eugene Roberts (Niasha), Christina Diane Colby, Larissa Lee Barnes (Daemon), Amanda Marie Kadrmas, Brielle Elizabeth Kadrmas and John Cameron Brown; his great grandchildren, Miley Kathleen Barnes and Calvin Eugene Roberts; his siblings, Frances Griswell of Pleasanton, Jim and Richard Barton; his granddaughter Kyla Kathleen Roberts; Sheba and Tiger.

Rather than flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Amelia Island Jazz Festival Scholarship Fund and Cat's Angel's, Inc. in Fernandina Beach, FL.
