Though Heinz may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Heinz touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He is survived by: his wife Pamela; his children, Peter (Gloria), Dennis (Diana) and Cathy (Matthew); and his grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, Megan, Thomas and Ryan.
His contributions to the field of engineering were acknowledged when he received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the University Of Florida College Of Engineering in 2003.
