He was predeceased by: his son James L. "Jimmy" Cooper, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carol Cooper; his son Dean Cooper of Orange Park; and his grandchildren, Christian Cooper (Lien), Jayme Highsmith (Jon), Deana Cooper, Jake Cooper (Marysa) and Mitchell Cooper. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cooper dedicated many years to the grocery manufacturing and supply industry, making significant contributions to Southeast Dairy Processors and Gustafson's Dairy, operations associated with the Winn Dixie Company.
