We are sad to announce that on July 28, 2023, at the age of 81, Joanne Massengill of Fernandina Beach, Florida, born in Catawba, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her children, Hydia Massengill Browning and Michael Massengill. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey M Massengill (Suzy), Tony M. Massengill and Tammy Troxel; her grandchildren, Nicole Massengill, Michael A. Massengill, Bodine Massengill, Candy Reese, Kendall Pirtle, Morgan Massengill, Garet Massengill, Megan Massengill, Kori Troxel, Matthew Massengill and Amber Gordon; and her pet Piper. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.

Mrs. Massengill loved flowers and for those who would prefer to donate to a charitable organization, the family suggests the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation http://www.floridabreastcancer.org.
