It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Preston Brooks of Fernandina Beach, Florida, born in Sylvester, Georgia, who passed away on June 26, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joy Brooks; his parents, Willie B. Brooks and Ava Brooks; and his brother Howard Brooks. He is survived by: his daughters, LuWanda Brooks (Carl Felgemacher) and Marsha Adkins (Gary); his grandsons, Adam and Cody Adkins; and his brothers, Donald Brooks (Laura) and Bill Brooks (Dee). He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
