He was predeceased by: his parents, JoAnn McKendree Darlington and Franklin Darlington; his brothers, Frank Andrews and Ira Darlington; and his nephew Richard Darlington.
He is survived by: his significant other Ruth Darlington; his children, Casey Darlington Zola (Erik), Carrie Darlington and John Darlington, Jr. (Amber); his siblings, Richard Darlington, Luanne Smith and Nancy Arnett; and his grandchildren, Lucas Taylor Darlington, Caroline Lott, Carstin Russell, Lynnlee Darlington, Avery Moncaleano and John Darlington, III. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
