He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Etta Clements Gilder; his wife Kay; and his brother Walter Gilder. He is survived by: his children, John Frank "Bo" Gilder, Jr. of Windor, GA, Jeff Gilder (Genie) of Alpharetta, GA and Lauren Perkins (Joe) of Woodstock, GA; his siblings, Elizabeth Belden (Joe) of Fernandina Beach and Kenneth Gilder of Fernandina Beach; his grandchildren, Megan, Haley, Griffin, John "Grayson", Ryan, Molly and Riley; and his great grandchildren, Caroline and Theodore.
Rather than flowers, the family asks he be remembered with donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
