We are sad to announce that on April 20, 2025, Kenneth W. Claxton (Fernandina Beach, Florida) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. "Tom" Claxton and Sadie Wilson Claxton; his wife Ruby; and his daughter Millie. He is survived by: his cousin Milly (Ken); his aunt Ruby; his son Kenneth E. Claxton of Hortense; his grandchildren, Melissa Claxton of Yulee and K. C. Claxton of Hortense; his close friend Patricia Kelly of Hortense; his sister Dorothy Bloodsworth of Maitland, FL; and his great grandchildren, Mallory Brown, Colt Claxton, Wilson Brown, Wrangler Claxton and Hunter Claxton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors (1305 Atlantic Ave, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
