She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sheffield and Marie Sheffield; her son Dennis Amato; and her grandson Sergeant Peter Joshua Jernigan. She is survived by: her children, Theresa Walker-Keegan (Jason), Jessie Thompson (Roy), Cindy Leach (Lenny), Marie Rehm (Eugene) and Patty Chaplin; and her brothers, Richard Sheffield and Jerry Sheffield. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
