She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schmidt and Florence Schmidt of Gillespie, Ill.; her husband James C. Harper of Du Quoin; her siblings, William Schmidt Jr., Virginia Buscher and Lucille Barton; and her son-in-law John Crandall.
She is survived by: her child Sherlyn; her brother John Schmidt; her children, Sherry Crandall, James C. Harper Jr. and John Harper (Barbara); her grandchildren, Jason Crandall, John H. Crandall (Jennifer), Brian Harper (Jennifer), Christopher Harper (Christina), Vanessa Harper (Alejandro Berroa), Elizabeth Moscarillo and Matthew Harper; and her great grandchildren, James Crandall, Harper Crandall, Vivienne Crandall, Zooey Harper, Hadley Harper, Reid Moscarillo, Eli Moscarillo and Melody Harper. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and their children.
In honor of Marjorie's deep love for the cats and dogs that enriched her life, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Nassau Humane Society in her memory in lieu of flowers.
