We announce the death of Wayne Leonard Rogers (Fernandina Beach, Florida), who passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 78. Wayne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Rogers Sr. and Wanda Rogers (Czarnowski) of Kansas City, Missouri.; and his brother John W. Rogers Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Chrissie; his children, Kimberly Masso (Robert) of Somerdale, Marcy Ann Williams of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Jeffrey Rogers of Spring Hill, Florida and Jason Rogers (Olga Tate) of Brunswick; and his siblings, Jim Rogers (Gay), Carolyn Rogers, Loretta Rogers, Rita Bishop (Dennis) and Betty Swoffer (Rick). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors (1305 Atlantic Ave, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
