He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend France; his grandson Hugo; his parents, William Robert Maurer and Caroline Dorothy Nurnberger; his wife Kathleen; his children, Jean-Philippe, Constance, Elene Alexandra, Maximilian Singleton and Christian-Luc; his sister Joan Hargett; and his stepchildren, Jennean Veale, Marcus Shively and Adam Shively. He was also cherished by grandfather to his twelve grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity reflecting William's love for art and community.
