He was predeceased by: his parents, Durward Sylvester and Sussie Chancy Sylvester; his wife Virginia; his son Steven; and his grandson Brandon.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Sylvester of Yulee, Sharon Sylvester Wright of Fernandina Beach and Bobby Sylvester of Fernandina Beach; his grandson Daniel Sylvester of Yulee; and his siblings, Henry Sylvester and Naomi Sylvester Durbin of Waycross, GA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a large extended family and a large extended family.
