He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Houston and Joyce Eloise Mize; his brother Thomas Glen Mize; and his son Philip Randall Mize Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Brooklyn (Joshua Bell); and his grandchildren, Abel Ean Noriega, Kaelyn Brook Noriega and Kaiden Izaiah Crawford.
