He is survived by: his wife Bunny Jones; his daughter Jennifer Carpenter (Rodney); his sisters, Cynthia Bozeman (Charlie) and Donna Lauricio; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Jones, Ryan, Chris and Cecilia Carpenter.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you kindly make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org, another children's charity of your choice or to the Alzheimer's Association https://www.alz.org.
