She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Lee (Messiere) and Noah Denver Godwin; her siblings, Arthur Lewis Godwin and Linda Quick; and her daughter Gwendolyn Lucille Saunders.
She is survived by: her sons, Roy Waters Jr. (Paula) of Florahome and Mitchell Steven Waters of Macclenny; and her sisters, Mickey Koonce (Mel) of Mebane and Lillian Long (Jerry) of Fairmount, Georgia. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
