She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Alphonsus Coomes and Teresa Helen Boteler Coomes; her husband Mark Modist; her siblings, Joseph Dennis Coomes, David Eugene Coomes, Thomas Anthony Coomes, Ivan Glenn Coomes and Paul Francis Coomes; her sister-in-law Brenda Coomes; and her niece Kelley Coomes.
She is survived by: her sisters, Joyce Ann Lambert (Paul), Lois Marie Hoskins (Charles), Rita Faye Wood (Billly) and Jane Anita Coomes; her sisters-in-law, Mary Goretti Coomes of Owensboro and Lou Robertson of Owensboro; and her stepson Matthew Modist. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces & nephews.
