Joan Barlow Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Barlow of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aileen Dunnavant and Otha Dunnavant; and her husbands, Albert H. Sloan II and Daniel A. Barlow. She is survived by: her children, Owen Kenneth Sloan II (Melissa Scott-Sloan) and Cheryl "Sherri" Sloan; her grandchildren, Amanda Lynn Sloan, Albert H. Sloan III, Alicia M. Sloan and Stephanie R. Sloan; and her great grandchildren, Addison, Ava, Scarlett, Owen and Leia. She is also survived by her extended family in Pulaski and the many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Humane Society of Broward County.
