Sylvia Murphy Obituary

The memory of Sylvia Murphy (Fort Lauderdale, Florida), who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 82, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Sylvia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sylvia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Collins and Emily Collins. She is survived by: her siblings, Vilma, Doreen, Frank, James and Janice; her husband John; and her children, Sean-Patrick and Siobhan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Glioblastoma Research Organization or the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Research Center in Sylvia's memory.
