He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Caplan and Fannie Caplan; and his sister Vivian Caplan. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his children, Ira, Mark and Leslie; his stepchildren, Amy Mummert (Pete) and David Mandell; and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Lindsey, Max and Nathan.
