He is survived by: his grandsons, Jim and Shawn; his great grandchildren, Riley, Declan, Grant, Molly and Bexley; his wife Barbara Speets; his children, Linda Haskins (Brian), Karyn VanderHey (Pete Richardson), James Edward VanderHey (Donna), Sally Martin (Brooks) and Dr Nancy Samaha (Christopher); his grandchildren, Tom Wimer (Erin), Paul Edward Smithwood (Madison), Kevin Smithwood (Olivia), Zachary Smithwood, Tyler Martin, Mitchell Edward Martin (Megan), Derek Martin, Matthew Samaha (Brooke) and Jillian Samaha; his great grandchildren, Leah and Brian Haskins; his grandchildren, Declan, Molly Wimer, Bexley and Grant Smithwood; and his siblings, Donald VanderHey (Ginny) and Leona Dzierek (Harry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
