He is survived by: his children, Frank Jr. (Sherri) of West Richland, WA, Hazel Liptak (Charles) of Clarkton, NC, Cynthia Young (Fred) of Anderson, SC and Deborah Carr of Centreville, MD.; his stepchildren, Stephen Merwarth (Kelly) of Atlanta, GA and Jennifer Scott (Todd) of Simpsonville, SC; his brother-in-law Fred (Sandy) of Harrisburg, PA; and his sisters, Madeline Lombaerde (Robert) of Belmont, CA and Patricia Carr of Folsom, CA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harvey-Engelhardt Funeral Home (1600 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Hope Hospice (Fort Myers, FL), the Lodge at Cypress Cove (Fort Myers, FL), or HSS- Hospital for.
