He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest and Eggenberg (Richmond) of Maryland; and his siblings, Gary, Guy and Gwen.

He is survived by: his son Eric (Thao); his grandchildren, Adam, John, Kate, Kevin and Grace; and his brother Grant. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
