He was predeceased by: his brothers, Frank Gioia (Susie), Jerome Gioia (Patricia) and Michael; and his sister-in-law Constance Duerr. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen M. Gioia; his children, Debra Hank (Karl), Wendy Thisted (Jay), Christopher Madonna (Karen) and Lisa Reynolds; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Richards (Scott), Mark Shernowitz (Ashley), Ivy Pelham (Drayton), Marcella Madonna, Mia Madonna and Matthew Hank; and his great grandchildren, Levi Shernowitz, Theo Pelham and Emmett Pelham.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907).
