We announce the death of Joyce Alfra Dean (Fort Myers, Florida), who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 84. Joyce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her brothers, Christopher Dean Jr., Ronald and Donald Dean; and her nephew Byron Dean. She is survived by: her siblings, Janice Newmark (Dean) and Thomas B. Dean; her close friend Sandra "Vivian" Green; her nieces and nephews, Gregory Dean, Terrance Dean, Thomas Dean Jr., Christopher Newmark, Aja Dean, Alfreda Dean, Ashayla Dean, Delbra Dean, Keasha Dean, Sabrina Matthews and Keena Stallworth; her cousins, Bernicene Griffin, Glen Hensley, Niecy Hensley, Angela Marshall, Frank Robinson, Winnifred Stevens and Yvonne Vest; and her godsons, Jason Herring and Arlos-Stroud.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (2030 Palm Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33916).
