He was predeceased by: his parents, Regis Aubele and Mary Aubele (Baker); his brothers, Keith, James and Daniel; and his parents-in-law, George and Alfreda Barbaree.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Aubele (Barbaree); his stepson Joseph Barbaree; his brothers, Regis, Edward (Patty), Paul (Sherry) and Mark (Gloria); and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Barbaree (Rose), Susan Hirsch (Philip) and Teri Aubele. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
