He was predeceased by: his adoptive parents, Moses Montgomery and Virginia Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Lorene Montgomery; and his children, Robert Jr., Songhai, Yolanda and Juwana Montgomery. He is also survived by one sister and three brothers, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild, as well as nieces and nephews and the many cherished family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sarasota National Cemetery (9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241).
