It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Suzanne C Gobel of Fort Myers, Florida, born in Redlands, California, who passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Haga Carpenter and Hubbell B. Carpenter; and her sister Joan Carpenter Roppe. She is survived by: her husband Fredarick L. Gobel; her children, Mark (Jennifer), Peter (Setsuko) and Anne-Elise Garcia; her brother H. James Carpenter (Faye); her grandchildren, Laura Rae Skemp (Aaron), Rebecca Marie Menssen (Ryan), Robert Michael Garcia, Alexandra Elise Garcia and Zachary Lee Garcia (Nakaba); and her great grandchildren, Kei Zachary Garcia and Henry James Menssen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
