He was predeceased by: his parents, David Franklin Sechrist and Era Corena Hughes Sechrist; his wife Mabel Hipp Sechrist; and his siblings, Buck Sechrist, Tommy Sechrist and Leona Sechrist Murphy.
He is survived by: his daughter Reida Krieger (David) of Fort Pierce, Florida; his grandson Kasey George (Heather); and his great grandchild Oliver Reid George. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Davidson County Animal Shelter.
