We are sad to announce that on November 22, 2025, at the age of 69, Elder Ellis Huewitt Jr. of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Ellis Huewitt, Sr.; his grandparents, Rev. Willie Huewitt, Rufus Polk, Leila Polk Thornton and Callie Kee-Moore Huewitt; and his siblings, Johnny, Earl Huewitt, Evelyn Huewitt Mohammed and Lenora Huewitt Keese.
He is survived by: his mother Ruby Polk Huewitt; his children, Ellis Huewitt III and Shaneka Huewitt-Hackette (Jeffery); his stepdaughter LaSaundria Bass (James); his sons, Marterion, Benjamin and Azotus Franklin; his grandchildren, Amir Malone, Joshua Bass (Jasmine), Clévon Bass (Taylor) and Nickolas Bass; his great grandchildren, Timothy, Julyana, Jayden, Jazlyne, Izayah, Jaison, Janessa and Jeriah; his siblings, William Tyrone Huewitt of Fort Pierce, FL, Shane Wilburn of Clearwater, FL, Shallie Slack of Clearwater, FL, Annie Clark-Mobley, Veronice Harriel (Reginald) and Joann Thompson (Anthony); his close friends, Vernise Joseph, Ruth Harris and Terri Franklin; and his godson James O'Neil. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sarah's Memorial Chapel (728 Ave D, Fort Pierce, FL 34948). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Fort Pierce Seventh-Day Adventist Church (2601 Virginia Ave, Fort Pierce, FL 34981).
