He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Morrison Layton and Elmer Leslie Layton; and his brother Craig Layton. He is survived by: his wife Colleen McGrath Layton; his children, Thomas Elmer Layton and Laura Layton Monroy (Roman); his grandchildren, Roman, Adrian, Christian and Coral; and his mother-in-law Rosemary McGrath. He is also survived by sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
