He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Ashlaw (Bush) and Denver Stevens; his stepparents, Vaughn Ashlaw and Doris Stevens; and his son Jason Stevens.
He is survived by: his wife Shelley; his children, Brock Stevens (Helena) of Carthage, NY, Kristy Stevens of Lowville, NY and Jessica Schneider (Erik) of Rochester, NY; his stepson Benjamin Decker of Vero Beach, FL; his siblings, Roy Stevens (Diana) of San Antonio, TX and Lisa Hooley (Steven) of Canton, GA; his sister-in-law Kimberly Stiles; his half-brothers, Michael Stevens (Lynn) of Hickory, NC and Lyle Camidge of Carthage, NY.; his grandchildren, Zoey, Madison, Jamey, Patrick, Zeb, Konner, Kellan, Hayden and Julian; and his great grandchildren, Kai and Winston.
