He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Ashlaw (Bush) and Denver Stevens; his stepparents, Vaughn Ashlaw and Doris Stevens; and his son Jason Stevens.
He is survived by: his wife Shelley; his children, Brock Stevens (Helena) of Carthage, NY, Kristy Stevens of Lowville, NY and Jessica Schneider (Erik) of Rochester, NY; his stepson Benjamin Decker of Vero Beach, FL; his siblings, Roy Stevens (Diana) of San Antonio, TX and Lisa Hooley (Steven) of Canton, GA; his half-brothers, Michael Stevens (Lynn) of Hickory, NC and Lyle Camidge of Carthage, NY.; his grandchildren, Zoey, Madison, Jamey, Patrick, Zeb, Konner, Kellan, Hayden and Julian; and his great grandchildren, Kai and Winston.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Great Bend Volunteer Fire Department (PO Box 182, Great Bend, NY 13643).
