He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Evans and Bama Jackson Evans; his wife Dorothy Outland of Marlin, Texas.; his brother Charles Evans; and his son Carl Evans Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Delvia Denise Evans of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Joseph Nicholson of Crestview, Florida; and his close friend Luther Mitchell (Sheila) of Navarre, Florida. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews dear to his heart; numerous cousins.
