It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Joan Hackett (Fort Walton Beach, Florida), born in Pontiac, Michigan, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Joan and Evelyn Joan; her husband Col Mike Hackett; and her brother Richard Joan. She is survived by: her children, Dottie, Girl Scout, Joan Brown (Mark), Michael Hackett, Jr. (Terri), Patrick Hackett, Kathleen Dolan (Arnold), Timothy Hackett and Sharon Hackett (Marc); her brother David Joan; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Joan and Carol Hackett; her grandchildren, Michael Hackett III (Amber), Samuel Brown (Kimi), Sarah Brown, Libby Brown and Emily Brown; and her great grandchildren, Jaxyn and Adora. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a bounty of friends.
