She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvannah Banner Wright and Jessie Iola Barton Wright; and her husband James Albert Swanson, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Margaret Jane Swanson Matthews (Richard), James Albert Swanson, Jr. (Patty), Raymond Melvin Swanson, Sr. (Betty) and Mary Ann Swanson Hawkins (Mickey). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister; one brother; one half-brother; two half-sisters; extended family and friends.

In Frances' memory, the family requests contributions be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation honoring heroes.
