He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leslie Jakob and Rene Jakob; his wife Kathy Jakob (Robison) of Mary Esther; his children, Deric Jakob (Jennifer Russell) of Valpariso, Stephannie Reynolds (Ben) of Peyton and Shannon Sinsel (Jason) of Opp, Alabama.; his grandchildren, Seth (Jordan), Shelby (Payton), Gracie, Cherie, Ayden, Evan, Avery and Caleb; his great grandchildren, Grayson and Theodore; and his siblings, Lea, Ann, Tina, John, Elizabeth and Tobi. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davis-Watkins Funeral Home (113 Racetrack Rd NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at 1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to local veterans' organizations in Jake's honor.
